Cookie and storage policy
Effective: October 26, 2026
This policy explains the browser storage and optional website analytics used on reblockapp.com. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
1. Your choice
Google Analytics, Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights are optional. Their scripts do not load unless you select "Allow analytics". Rejecting analytics or leaving the banner untouched means these analytics providers receive no website measurements from Reblock.
Your choice is stored in your browser so the website can respect it on later visits. You can change it at any time. Withdrawing consent stops optional analytics after the page reloads and does not affect the lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal.
2. Necessary storage
The following storage is used without optional analytics consent because it records a requested preference, protects a form, or supports authentication:
- reblock-analytics-consent: stores "granted" or "denied" until you change the choice or clear site data.
- loops-form-timestamp: prevents repeated waitlist submissions. The value is used for one minute and may remain until your browser removes site data.
- rb-theme: remembers the light or dark theme selected on blog pages until you change it or clear site data.
- Authentication storage: Clerk may use cookies or browser storage on the beta portal to maintain sign-in, prevent abuse and protect the account. Its duration depends on the active session and Clerk's security settings.
Hosting and security systems also receive ordinary request information such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and error details when a page is delivered. This does not depend on optional analytics consent.
3. Optional analytics
If you allow analytics, Reblock loads these services for the consent-based purpose of understanding page use and website performance:
- Google Analytics 4: receives page path, page title, referrer, timestamps, browser and device information, approximate location derived from the network request, and events such as a successful waitlist signup. Reblock uses measurement ID G-KFC19MPMN4. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain disabled.
- Vercel Web Analytics: receives page-view information such as path, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location, browser, operating system and device type. Vercel states that it does not use third-party cookies for this service and discards its visitor-session hash after 24 hours.
- Vercel Speed Insights: receives real-user website performance measurements such as loading, rendering, layout and interaction timing together with limited page, browser and device context.
Google Analytics may set the first-party cookies _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google documents a default lifetime of two years, refreshed when measurement data is sent. Reblock does not load Google Analytics before consent.
4. Retention
- The consent choice remains until you change it or clear site data.
- The waitlist rate-limit timestamp is relevant for one minute.
- The blog theme remains until you change it or clear site data.
- Google Analytics cookies use the default two-year lifetime described above. Event and user-level analytics data follows the retention setting configured for Reblock's Google Analytics property.
- Vercel discards its Web Analytics visitor-session hash after 24 hours. Aggregated analytics and performance statistics are retained according to Reblock's provider settings and only for as long as needed to understand website use and performance.
5. Providers and transfers
Google and Vercel process optional analytics for Reblock. They may use processors outside the European Economic Area. Applicable safeguards, service-provider details and data-protection rights are described in the Privacy Policy. You can also read the providers' own privacy information.
